Project Details

Hayu Tilixam features 50 affordable dwelling units, nine of which are permanent supportive housing, arranged around an inner courtyard that connects to a community room, children’s playroom, and lobby. The project includes studio, one-, two-, and three-bedroom units to support a mix of family sizes and needs. The Native American Rehabilitation Association of the Northwest provides on-site services.

Translating to “Many Nations” in the language of the indigenous Chinookan people, Hayu Tilixam was designed in collaboration with Native-American consultants, with an emphasis on Native identity, textures, colors and iconography.
